Brown Turkey Fig Trees

Q.fig tree brown turkey

Anonymous added on August 29, 2015 | Answered

I bought a brown turkey standard fig tree (figella is her name) this spring. It is growing in a pot and is doing very well. She has produced many fruits that at present are small, green and hard.

1. Should I prune the tree in autumn? It is getting quite big for my greenhouse. (5 wide x 10 long x 6.6 high)
2. Will the fruits ripen next year?
3. Should I try to get the tree indoors for the winter? Or should I use bubble wrap or garden fleece for the winter, or a greenhouse heater?

Thanks for your help.
