I got my bromeliad last month. I notice some brown leaves now. I think, I did not water the plant properly. I only used to put water in shank and rarely watered the moss ( that’s what I was told). Please advise on how to take care. Thank you

Duranta is slowly dying, which is a very hardy shrub, and a tropical hibiscus has lost its healthy look, leaves are smaller with a crumpled look. Bromeliads are just the common everyday type which multiply and in both cases have become a very dense mass
If the bromeliads are forming this dense cover under the shrubs, yes, the bromeliads could be suffocating the shrubs' roots. Try removing the bromeliads that are in the root zone of the shrubs and replanting them elsewhere.
I'm not sure what type it is for the tag just say brome laid.. I enclosed a photo..
Oh my Stars, I just saw the question I asked.. And it wasn't what came out.. So I will ask again. I bought a bromelaid a couple months ago.. It was flowered and beaufiful. I repotted it, and now the flower is bending or falling over.. Why is this happening . I had even tied a string around it to try and straighten it up.. But its still leaning over.. Help plse. I'm new to this plant and I love it.. I don't want to kill it.. Thank you
I have been given a flowering Bromeliad, I am not a gardener and don't possess plants at all. How often and where do I water the plant. I live in South Tenerife very hot. Also there is a bud and been advised to take a cutting. again how do you do that. any help would be appreciated thank you.
Once a bromeliad flowers, it slowly dies. However, it usually leaves pups behind, and I see one in your photo. At least it looks like the bloom is coming out of a second plant. You can water them in the little central cups they have. Here is more:

Middle leaves in a cup looks alright but bottom leaves are dry and light brown color.
These articles should help. Go over all the growing conditions, particularly watering, to pinpoint what is wrong.

Can u put droplets of cooking oil is bromeliads tank in case mosquitos lay eggs in the water it stores.
The cup should be emptied out weekly and that will take care of any eggs in the cup.

Please coud you advise if Bromeliads need to be potted in an acid compost. Many thanks
It does not have to be acidic, but is should be well draining. They do best with a loose, organic mixture like an orchid mix. Here is more:
