Mature apricot tree. Had a few leaves 2 weeks ago. They have all fallen off and the green sprouts have turned brown. Major trunks bark appears blistered and black and falling off. Limbs shooting off from these are dead. Any idea what’s going on and can tree be saved?
This appears to be an older tree, and has what looks like an infection. It appears to have had this for a very long time. There would be no suitable treatment for this. It will be the eventual death of the tree.

I have answered this in another question. Please consult your previous question.
Should I water an apricot tree when it has blossoms?
Apricot trees do need a deep watering early in the spring, when the soil has warmed but before budding.
You should have a damm of soil around the canopy of the tree; 5 inches high.
Fill the area with 4 inches of water and allow to drain in.
The water should soak in within an hours time.
Do this once a week. Do not overwater.
I have a ten year old Apricot tree. The year before last it had one apricot which I gave to the birds. Last year it was loaded with hundreds most of which fell off and rotted. Couldn't eat them all! I prune it every year and live in CA. This year there are very few leaves. Those that are growing all appear healthy but most of them are on the new growth that appeared around the pruned branch cuts. Very few of the new leaves appear on the older branches. There are a lot of buds on the branches and there are no signs of any mold.
It sounds like a fungal infection. Often in older trees, this will lead to the eventual death of it. You can prolong this by adding dolomitic lime and wettable sulfur. This will help the tree to stay healthy for a little longer.
What causes sap and fruit drop?
This can be anything from pests to fungal infections. Treat every spring with wettable sulfur or a copper fungicide. Once it is in the tree, you will just have to treat for symptoms at the start of each year. This is usually incurable. My apricot tree was doing OK, but recently its leaves are drooping and it seems worse everyday. Several things happened recently: It's bearing fruits; it started like one or two months ago. Because of , I've been watering it more frequently. Twice a week on average. I know, that may be too much... Also, I used fresh chicken manure as fertilizer. I know, I shouldn't have used fresh manure... This tree lives in San Jose, California. Please help me, I don't want to lose the tree!
Those things would, definitely, match the symptoms that you are seeing. You will want to compost manure very well before using. This will cause the plant to burn a little. Add dolomitic lime to raise the pH some, and counteract some of the manure.
Now, as for the leaf curl. This is a sign that it is being well overwatered. They will curl up to help it to release moisture faster. You should only have to water with the first 2 inches of soil are almost completely dry. This will help keep it from being overwatered, and keep it from getting a soil infection.
This article will give you more information on the care of these: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/apricots/apricot-tree-growing.htm
