Why is the new unopened flower on my Anthurium turning brown instead of red> Also, the yellow stalk in the center of the flower has a brown tip and some of the leaves have small black edges. My plant is in a small pot indoors, purchased it just before Christmas. Should I repot it into a larger pot?
Your plant may have been overwatered. A potted Anthurium are susceptible to root rot.
Make sure the top inch or so of soil is dry before watering again.
Make sure the pot is draining of any excess water.

Your plant may actually be one of the green varieties.

My anthurium is very healthy, but it's growing like crazy! Has become very top heavy and vine-like. Can I chop it off and stick the new top half in another pot? It lives indoors, on a pop out, eastern facing kitchen window.
I believe the vines you are seeing are aerial roots. Yes, you can cut the top off of the plant about 1 inch above the dirt. The bottom will re-sprout. Put the top, which appears to have air roots, in a new pot. Keep it watered and you should soon have two new plants.
I recently bought a small anthurium plant and in the last few days, two of the flowers dried up. I keep it by my kitchen window. Will it flower again? The leaves are still green.
You can prune the spent flowers from the plant.

I have an anthurium plant in the house, so I hope you will help me even it is not a gardening question. My plant is looking rough. Its leaves get brown and torn in some spots and little white dust on its flowers and leaves as well. Actually, right now all my flowers on the same shelf with the anthuriums have got the same white little needles. Can you please tell me what kind of treatment is needed? Thank you very much.
Your plants are infested with Aphids.

Th plant is one year old and has always been in the same well lit but shady place. This week the leaves began to yellow and dry up. The soil is not dry but damp. How can I salvage it, please?
Yellowing leaves is generally a sign of watering issues.
Either to much or to little.
Make sure the soil is damp but not soggy.

I have dry, dead places on some of the leaves. Don't know if they came that way or have started lately. I know 1 dead spot was there when I got it, but the others seem to have come on later.
This is likely a fungal disease. It can be due to damp soil conditions.
Make sure the soil is a light and airy soil mix and that the roots do not sit in soggy soil.
I would remove the leaves with signs of disease and dispose of.
Make sure the plant has good air circulation around the leaves.
You can use a fungicide spray if the issue persists, but these type of fungus diseases can be difficult to control.
