I WATER ABOUT ONCE A WEEK AND THE PLANTS ARE NOT IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT IT IS SUBDUED LIGHT. WE ARE AT 7500 FEET ELEVATION AND THE AIR IS QUITE DRY.
Give your plant some humidity via misting or a tray of pebbles beneath it filled with water. (Be sure the pot is above the water and can't absorb it.) Also, check that your soil is dry before watering. It could probably use a brighter light situation as well.
I suggest replacing the soil and cleaning out the container. Use a well draining soil such as 1/2 potting soil and 1/2 perlite. You may have some root rot starting.

Hello I have had an indoor anthurium for some years now; a couple of years ago I left it outside in the sun for a short time, ever since the stems go brown and the leaves go brown also, yet it is growing and producing new flowers all the time. What can I do to help it look better?
You have plenty of leaves so I suggest removing the older ones that have brown edges. Brown edges on leaves can be due to too much or too little water. Make sure the soil is dry to the touch before watering. Anthuriums do not like wet soil, which can lead to root rot. Brown edges also can mean the humidity is not high enough.

I was just wondering if you could give me some general info on anthuriums and some pointers on their care needs!!! Many thanks
