I was given two anthurium plants for Christmas as indoor plants. They were very dry, so I watered them and put them on a north facing windowsill with a double glazed window. They only lasted two days and the went crisp and died. What did I do wrong?
It is best to make sure that these never receive direct light, as this will kill them quickly. They also like to be misted on occasion to simulate a more tropical environment.
This article will give you more information on the care of these: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/anthurium/anthurium-care.htm
Hi! I am contacting you to ask why the leaves on my indoor red flowering anthurium plant keep going brown. Its in plenty of light and not direct light, its not being over watered and I am also feeding it every 3-4 months. Can you email me please to let me know what we should do? Thank you. Kind Regards Rob Howsley
Indoor Anthurium need bright light and watering issues can result in the leaf issues you mention.
If the soil and roots dry it can stress the plant.

I cant seem to find any info on pruning my Anthuriums that have long leggy stems. they have been growing im my garden in Hawaii for years but have become long necked with air roots everywhere. what is the best way to prune or split and replant?
I would make sure not to prune off the top of the plant, only the leaf stems. You can leave the roots to be above the ground, or you can cover them with mulch.
As far as splitting them... If you find a section that has, both, a top and roots that will come off together, then you may treat this as another plant. hhhhhhhhhh
Several resources suggest pruning from the top down, always leaving at least 3 leaves intact. If the lower green leaves in the picture are from a different stem, you can completely remove the leggy stem.
Hello everyone, One of the spadix on my anthurium is turning brown. I've had the plant for about a week - haven't watered it, haven't fertilized it. The soil is still moist (I use a water meter to test it), I live in Florida, so it's quite warm and humid in my home (about 76 degrees). The plant is placed in a room with bright, diffused sunlight. The rest of the plant looks fine - any ideas? The image shows the plant just as it began to turn brown. You can see it just slightly in the yellow circle. Thank you!
It's significantly darker now - almost black. I should have put that in my initial post.

This is the normal process of an unpollinated flower. Once the flower dies off you can cut it back to the ground. Just wait until it is dead to do so. Here is an article that will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/anthurium/anthurium-care.htm
My anthurium is quite healthy after 2 months but holes are appearing in the leaves. I mist it every day and water it with rain water at least once a week?
This would indicate a pest problem. You can use need oil to control this, as long as you don't apply in direct sunlight. Here is a collection of articles among which will be several on how to make your own pest control: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/special/organic/
Hi, I have recently bought an anthurium plant, which seems to have few problems please could you help diagnose whats wrong with the plant in the pictures provided and what I can do about it.
This is likely a fungus issue. It may have been improperly watered. Water splashing on the leaves can lead to fungus disease.
You can cut away the diseased parts of the plant.
Make sure your water at the soil line.
Soil should be dry before watering again. The fleshy roots hold moisture.
Make sure there is good air circulation around the plant.
You mention that you just bought the plant. If the plant was in this condition when you purchased, you many consider returning it to the nursery or garden center.
Look for healthy plants with leaves and flowers that are blemish free.
