Keeping Squirrels and Birds Out of Small Garden Space

Anonymous added on April 10, 2011 | Answered

We have masses of squirrels at our home because of large trees all over the area. I planted a small garden with some seeds and plants. Birds and squirrels are a problem. I don't want to trap them but want to be rid of them or at least keep them out of my garden. What is a person to do that doesn't have gardening skills?

Here is an article that you may find helpful: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/animals/get-rid-squirrels.htm

As for the birds, which are inevitable, it sometimes helps to create a sanctuary just for them by adding bird feeders nearby. If you have fruit trees, then this article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/fegen/protect-fruit-tree-birds.htm
