Hi Everyone; I checked our garden this morning, and everything was fine. We have a gold zucchini plane with 5 (potentially) nice zucchini on it - (They still need to blossom and get pollinated). This evening, I discovered that something has eaten a large hole in one of the zucchini blossom buds. Would this be the work of squash bugs? Thank you all in advance and have a wonderful evening. - Janine
It could be! It will be very difficult to say what is doing the damage without catching it in the act, however.
I would recommend broad spectrum pesticides, either organic or synthetic, to keep insect pests away. Here are some articles that will help:

ore. Had to tie several plants to one stake and one plant too far in the middle to tie to anything. Depth of soil only about 5 inches. Should i move the plants now or what.
Here's info on how to trim these:

This is the first fruit to form on the plant. It appears to have stripes on it like a regular zucchini would, but it is yellow in appearance and grows more so by the day. It is not long and slender like regular zucchini. It was marked zucchini at the plant nursery.
It is probably a Golden Zucchini.

How should I trim, near the bottom of stalk or what?

Finally after my zucchini plants started growing out of control my biyfriend finaly desided i was right about wanting trellis. So we did. I unwove each plant and attached to a trellis. (Yesterday). Today they are very wilty. Please tell me they wont die and what to do to help them
I imagine some of the stems were bent or broken and gives it that wilty look. Keep it well watered and it should perk up soon.
Hi, My leaves on this plant have gone dry, curled and started to brown. Had a lot of rain and wind recently? Checks for pests etc but can’t see anything sinister? Please help. My other 3 plants seem absolutely fine. All grown in pots also (If that helps) thanks mark
This does appear to be damage from too much moisture. Be sure that the container allows all extra water out, freely, or if you have a drip pan then make sure to empty it out any time that there is extra water, there.
These articles will help with the care of zucchini:
Your article says When cutting leaves to give zucchini more sun, just cut the bigger ones, and make the cuts close to the base of the plant, leaving all others. You can also cut off any dead or brown leaves that may be present. Do not cut any stems, as this will increase the risk for disease. Read more at Gardening Know How: Pruning Zucchini: How To Prune Zucchini Squash https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/zucchini/pruning-zucchini-how-to-prune-zucchini-squash.htm How do I cut the leaves at the base without cutting the stems!? I cut the leaves at the end of the stems instead as I am confused. Lol Thank you!
I would cut off any leaves at the base of the plant. I think the author meant not to cut the stems haphazardly in the middle. Make clean cuts near the base of the clump.
