My zucchinis have developed brown spots inside. What could cause this problem, as I have not had it before? Can see no sign on outside of vegetable. I am growing organically.

September 12, 2015A.This could be a sign of pests or the onset of a fungal issue. Treat the plant with neem oil. This is a safe organic insecticide and effective for use with many insect pests, though will not hurt beneficial insects, pets or humans. It is also a fungicide. How can you tell when Italian Zuchinni is ready to pick? I grew some Italian zucchini this past year, the huge long curly type, but have no idea how to tell when they are ready to pick and eat. I think they look super but want to be able to try eating and promoting them.

October 21, 2015A.Harvest is approx 55 days from planting.
You should harvest the zucchini when they are 4 to 6 inches in length for best flavor.
Allowing the zucchini to get to large on the vine will lower the production of other vegetables.

My zucchini are turning yellow and rotting at only a few inches. I live in a coastal suburb. I have read that the blossom end rot is a calcium deficiency; however, I think these coastal sands have too much calcium. My brassicas were stunted but the sweet potato is fine. What can I do?

I am growing zucchini in a grow box on my patio. Plants and leaves look healthy. Vegetables were growing but seem to have stopped growing the past couple of days. I trimmed off a lot of stems and leaves as per video...any suggestions? TY! Kathy
