Q.zucchini turning yellow and rotting

Zone perth western australia | coastalmoney added on November 4, 2015 | Answered

My zucchini are turning yellow and rotting at only a few inches. I live in a coastal suburb. I have read that the blossom end rot is a calcium deficiency; however, I think these coastal sands have too much calcium. My brassicas were stunted but the sweet potato is fine. What can I do?
