Wisteria leaves have all of a sudden seem to be rolling up as if it were dry. It is seven yrs old and bloomed last year and is starting to bloom now. What is causing the leaf problem?
This is a fungus, though it cold be one of several. Fortunately, they can all be treated with a fungicide. Spray the plant with a fungicide and this should correct it.
I've had my wisteria for about 15 years. It normally grows quickly and I prune it each year. For the last few years, it has put out flower buds which have been eaten by snails before they got the chance to develop. This year there are several flower bud spikes - which I'm keeping a close eye on, but the leaf growth is worrying me; all the leaves are extremely pale - almost creamy yellow as if deprived of light. Is my wisteria dying?
I would check for crown or root galls. Here is some information on them that may be helpful: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/disease/how-to-fix-crown-gall.htm
Please would you advise me if Wisteria can be successfully grown in Northern Virginia. Would it require any special soil or care?
Yes, you can grow the plant in your area. Here is an article or two that you may find helpful: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/vines/wisteria/growing-wisteria-proper-wisteria-vine-care.htm, https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/vines/wisteria/pruning-wisteria.htm
I have a 30 year old vine that is huge! It had the most blossoms last year, what a show! But the leaves have already popped this year and not a sign of a flower! The seed pods opened and the remains are still hanging. I did nothing different in trimming or anything from other years and yet, no flowers. What is up?
This article should help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/vines/wisteria/wisteria-blooming-problems.htm
Can I take a cutting from a mature wisteria vine and root it to plant somewhere else and, if so, how do I go about doing it correctly? Thanks.

It is May and our 6 year old Wisteria vine has no buds whatsoever. There is a very small growth at the base of the vine. The vine has leafed out and bloomed each of the past few years earlier than this year. We had a semi colder winter than normal, but not extended freezing. We live in Richland, Washington. Does this happen often?
The plant could be suffering from crown gall. This article will help determine if this is the issue: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/vines/wisteria/wisteria-diseases.htm If crown gall is not the issue and the vine is still alive and seemingly ok otherwise, I would just give it more time. It may be taking it a little longer to come back after this past, cold winter.
My wonderful wisteria of 17 years has been miserable this year and only half of it is in bloom at the moment. I assumed it was the late frost which had an impact on it. Today, making the best of the weather, I notice that the bark at the base was upright! I discovered an ants' nest with larva, etc. I quickly used my rose spray for bugs. Now, what can I do to save this wonderful plant? Please help.
If you are seeing ants, it is likely the plant is suffering from aphids. Ants don't normally bother plants unless there are aphids on the plant (aphids are like cows for ants - they maintain 'herds' to get food from them). Aphids are hard to see and easy to miss and they would explain the decline in the pllant. Treat the entire plant with a pesticide. Neem oil is a good one because it is organic and is systemic. If you spray as best you can, the plant will absorb it and this then protects the whole plant, even if you are not able to get to every part of the plant.
