I have recently moved into a cottage with a beautiful but neglected garden. The vegetable plot has not been worked for several years and as a result is completely infested with Aquilegia. I am not physically able to dig them out by hand, as it is a very large area and my age is against me! I have removed half a dozen to keep and grow on elsewhere but need some advice as to anything I can treat them with to be rid of them so I can reclaim the vegetable garden. Any help would be massively appreciated. Regards Marilyn
I wish I could come get a few plants from you!
With that being said, perhaps a local garden club could help you remove the plants.
Many gardeners would be thrilled to receive free plants for the price of digging them up.

I have a lot of little trees coming up all over my garden - coming up from the wood chips we put down last year and the fabric cloth. I just want them gone and there is too many to pull by hand. Is there a product I can buy or a home remedy I can mix together?
Pulling out the the unwanted weed trees is really the only way to remove them.
If you pull then when they are small they should be easy to remove.
Here is a link with more information.
Removing the source of the seedlings would be the permanent solution.

If I use vinegar to kill grass in my garden area, how long do I have to wait to plant?
I would say you would only have to wait a few days. Vinegar breaks down quickly in the soil and would only affect the soil pH for a few days.

I treated my lawn with Iron-X weed killer. Is it safe for my cat to eat the grass when she goes outside?
I would inspect the fine print on your weed killer container - it should give you some indication. Based on my research, people and pets can enter the treated area as soon as the spray dries.
Is there a pesticide that I can use to eliminate the growth of umbrella flat sedge? I have three dogs with fairly long hair and would like to eliminate the yellow umbrella flat sedge weeds in my backyard. I cut the grass every week in the rainy season in order to keep the weed to a minimum and to stop the seeds from turning brown and hard. I have read that I can raise the soil level to aid in not trapping the moisture in the upper level. What I am looking for is something that I can spray or sprinkle on the weed to eliminate the problem. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Steve Mancini. tilesmith@hotmail.com
Here is an article that will help you that discusses how to control sedge weeds. In my research, glyphosate seemed to be the go-to chemical to combat this plant.

How do I remove a stink tree from the middle of my butterfly bush? I have a stink tree growing right up the middle of my butterfly bush and a couple other trees as well.
How tall are these trees - are they small seedlings? If so, you are going to just want to just pull or dig them out.
