How do I remove a stink tree

How do I remove a stink tree from the middle of my butterfly bush? I have a stink tree growing right up the middle of my butterfly bush and a couple other trees as well.

How tall are these trees - are they small seedlings? If so, you are going to just want to just pull or dig them out.
