The plant is a fully grown one, but hasn't produced any spiderettes? Could you give me something I need to do to encourage them? This is the first one I have owned that didn't do it. Thanks
Longer daylight hours in spring can trigger production of spiderettes.
Do not fertilize your plant as this can also stop production of spiderettes.

When I transplanted my spider plant, I noticed strange bulbs on the roots. What are they?
What you are witnessing on your spider plant is a normal part of its root system. The spider plant has what is known as "tuberous roots", which swell for food and water storage. You can separate these tubers to divide your plant.

After taking off the little spiders and rooting them, do I leave the shoot or do I cut it back?
I would remove the little shoot but you can actually root the spiderette while it is attached to the mother.

I just recently purchased some spider plants from a nursery. They did ok the first week but now on the leaves inside the white an green color are turning brown, but not the ends. What am I doing wrong?
Make sure you are not overwatering your new plant. The soil should dry slightly between waterings.
A bright but indirect sunlight is best for your plant.

can i put them outside in the warmer weather
Absolutely, just don't put them in direct sunlight all day long if your area temperatures are very high during the summer, and be prepared for them to need a lot more water than normal. I want to put spider plant outside. Can a spider plant be put outside in sunlight?
You certainly can move your spider plant outdoors for the summer, but you will want to find a cooler shady area for it to hang out in. Spider plants prefer a cooler temperature so you will need to be mindful of the summer conditions. Additional watering may be needed while it's outdoors.

I have 2 small spider plants in a small pot. When I replant to a larger pot, should I separate them?
This is entirely a personal choice on your part as the plants would thrive as 2 or separated.
Often times people separate the plants to share with other gardeners!
Make sure you do not use to large of a pot. Usually when repotting you only need to go up 1 or 2 sizes larger.
Spider plants actually prefer to be root bound.
