Roots growing out from under plant sideways after cutting the roots back how do I get them to grow up not sideways. Don’t want to kill the bush.
I can't find a resource for spider plant bush so I am assuming you have a variety of the household type spider plant. They are known for large, fleshy roots, so your plant probably just needs to be divided. Dig it up and divide it and replant the extras or give them away. Make sure the soil is fertile and well drained. Here is more:

I have grown spider plants for decades with no issues and much enjoyment. I bought a new plant some months ago from our local grocery store and it is throwing out the weirdest stems and babies. IMO the plant is definitely sterile. Any thoughts on your side?
This appears diseased, unfortunately. Those are flowers, but they are not in the best shape. I would try treating with a fungicide.

I became ill and my plants suffered too. I even lost my beautiful Purple Passion plant. My question relates to the green Spider Plants. The stems are long and leggy. Can I cut them off below a node and reroot them? I do have one that is shooting out aerial stems.
It looks like it is being overwatered. Let the soil dry out between watering. Then it should leaf out more and look fuller.
You may be able to snap off the one in the front that has a root starting to grow and put it in the same pot or a separate pot.

I don't know what is wrong with my spider plant. Can you tell me and tell me how to cure it?
I see one leaf turning yellow/brown at the edge. Just trim it off. If there are a few others, you can trim those as well. Make sure the soil is allowed to dry between waterings. Low humidity or fluoride in the water can cause brown leaf tips. Here is more:

I have a spider plant with well over 75 spiderettes on it, of varying sizes. I was wondering if there was any way that they could be coaxed to sprout their own spiderettes, of if they would/could do so on their own, if left attached! I personally think that would be beautiful!
Eventually, they will form chains, much like strawberries will. In their native environment, They can spread quite quickly. In your house it will be more controlled. With this being said, your plants will do this on their own. Stress can force this a little faster. I would opt for the natural method though.
