Q.What Is The Cause Of Weird Disfigured Yellow Stems/babies On My Spider Plant?

Zone Shelburne Nova Scotia | dayliliesbythesea added on October 14, 2022 | Answered

I have grown spider plants for decades with no issues and much enjoyment. I bought a new plant some months ago from our local grocery store and it is throwing out the weirdest stems and babies. IMO the plant is definitely sterile. Any thoughts on your side?

This appears diseased, unfortunately. Those are flowers, but they are not in the best shape. I would try treating with a fungicide.
