Q.Can A Spider Plants Spiderettes Sprout Spiderettes?

Zone Hardiness zone 4(4b). Edmonton Alberta, Canada | Frlsldr added on October 24, 2023 | Answered

I have a spider plant with well over 75 spiderettes on it, of varying sizes. I was wondering if there was any way that they could be coaxed to sprout their own spiderettes, of if they would/could do so on their own, if left attached! I personally think that would be beautiful!

Eventually, they will form chains, much like strawberries will. In their native environment, They can spread quite quickly. In your house it will be more controlled. With this being said, your plants will do this on their own. Stress can force this a little faster. I would opt for the natural method though.
