My umbrella tree has leaves that are curling under. There are no brown spot on the leaves; they are all green. What is causing my plant to do that, and how can I fix it?
If you see no signs of pests or disease, check the soil. Make sure the soil is well draining. If the roots don't have oxygen, it can cause drooping of the plant or even the cupping leaves.
Make sure the soil is drying slightly between watering.
Your plant needs bright but indirect light. It may not be receiving enough light during the winter months, especially the top and bottom of the plant.

My plant is losing a lot of leaves. I'm not sure if I am over watering or not giving it enough. I have it in indirect light, not too bright. The leaves fall all day long; some are green and some have turned dark brown. Can you help me figure out what I am doing wrong? Heather
Schefflera and most other indoor plants are often overwatered. This plant prefers to have its soil dry out between waterings, so check the soil to make sure it's dry a couple inches down before you water.
You can tell if you're underwatering a plant because it will wilt, but then will perk up shortly after you water it. Overwatered plants won't perk up after watering.

Just one of stems have leaves that have a white film on them and I'm not sure why. I never owned any plants till recently so I'm not really familiar with them. I did some research and moved the plants and it's done very well for last 6months. Also, some of my leaves are very shiny and some are very dull.
It may be as simple as water deposits from water splashing unto the leaves. This residue can be cleaned from the leaves with a damp clean cloth.
Plants can become dusty over time and will benefit from a cleaning. You can wipe the leaves or even give them a shower.
Place the plants in your tub and gently shower them with water. Allow to drain and dry.
If the problem persists it could be caused by a fungus or insects.
Neem Oil is a good and safe treatment for both issues. It is also safe for people and pets.

My Shefflera has droopy top branches and shedding some leaves when touched. What does it need? Gets north light and is in a cool spot.
Try increasing the light your plant is receiving. Northern light in winter months is not likely enough for your plant. Indirect, bright light is a good location.
Schefflera are a tropical plant and love a warmer temperature. They actually will suffer in temperature below 60 degrees F.
Warm up the plant in a brighter, sunnier location and it will likely thrive.

My schefflera plant has a cone-like flower on top. What should I do? Should I prune my plant, as it appears it will not get leaves any longer?
Mostly grown for it's foliage, a mature Schefflera will produce flower clusters.
The flower clusters eventually will produce cascading maroon to black berries.
You do not need to remove the flowers unless you prefer to. There are some reports that the flowers can attract insects.
Pruning is easy and is a good idea to keep the plant from becoming to tall and leggy.

My eight foot outside containerized plant froze and lost all of its leaves. The base is about 3 inches thick. Will it grow back or is it time to replant?
It will depend on if the roots suffered damage.
Cut the plant back and wait and see.
I have a schefflera (lives outside). It is approximately 8-10 tall and is top heavy with no leaves on about 3' from the bottom. I am going to repot into larger pot. Will it hurt if I cut the top out to make it bushier?
Yes, you can prune your plant.
