When is it best to transplant primroses? Mine have spread too much and need to be thinned. Thank you Kathy
Divide and transplant them in the fall. Each division should have at least two shoots (five shoots are ideal) and plenty of roots. Replant your root divisions as soon as possible.
I planted two primrose plants in a hanging basket. Unfortunately, after giving birth to my baby, I neglected my plants and they are (I think) most probably dead. The flowers and leaves have turned yellow and rotting away. What can I do? Will my plant flower again? Do I cut everything off and leave the roots? What will happen in winter? I am a beginner at gardening and this is my first attempt so I am very unsure about everything.
I wouldn't feel to badly, Primrose can be difficult to keep growing after the spring burst of color.

Will primroses grow well in Paradise, CA? Our soil here is very acidic because of all the pine trees, I assume. Other regular roses do well here, but I'm not sure about prim roses. I especially like the yellow ones.
Primrose grow in zones 5-9.

I have a set of primroses in a pot indoors. It gets direct to sunny exposure, depending on time of day. The plants have brown, dried tips. Not enough water? Have not bloomed, although they start to, but blooms die off. Help!
Most Primroses are sold as a short term houseplant, usually in the spring.

Received a primrose for my birthday from my father. Being completely idiotic and forgetful left it in my car overnight. The plant is still alive, but suffering. I watered it with cold water and let it sit. The soil is damp if I put my finger an inch into the soil, and have it sitting in front of the window. Will it be alright? And if so what should else should I be doing?
Likely the blossoms perished and you can trim them away.
The plant itself may be just fine but you will have to wait and see.

I planted a primrose in a sunny spot 4 yrs ago. It has grown into a huge plant but has only bloomed a sparkly yellow bloom in the top. I have tried bone meal in the fall and have gotten little results. I have kept it watered also. What should I try next? I LIVE IN central Mississippi and have seen this variety planted all over this region.
