color of bracts around bloom . they are a shade of green rather than white.
The bracts of the Peace Lily go through color changes as it naturally ages.
They first are green, then white and back to green as it ends it's life cycle.

I just bought a new peace lily from Home Depot. It has huuuge, beautiful leaves and many small suckers at the bases of the big leaves. I am wondering if it's safe to cut off the suckers to clean up the overall appearance, and whether cutting the suckers off at their bases will encourage new growth of the huge leaves?
Peace lilies don't respond especially well to pruning. If plant has yellowing leaves or spent flower stalks, it's okay to remove those, but other than that it will do best if you jut let it grow on its own. You can read more about peace lily pruning here:

I overwatered my Peace Lily in a major way. The pot doesn’t have drainage holes (lesson learned) and I went into immediate rehab mode. I am a beginner planter, so I have done a lot of research on diagnosing the problem and treating the problem. I knew it was root rot when the stems were soggy and black with a pungent smell. That was the easy part. The difficult part was the actual solution. I removed the plant from the pot, washed off the soil, and examined the damage. There were several healthy rooots (I was so grateful). I trimmmed the damaged roots, soaked the remaining, healthy roots in a water-hydrogen peroxide solution for a little over a hour , and repotted the plant in a nursery pot. Fast forward a few hours... my poor peace lily looks so sad. What else can I do? What did I do wrong? Sincerely, One who is developing a Green Thumb :)
You have done as much as you can and now will need to wait out to see if the plant can recover.

Can a peace lily be planted in a pot on the east facing porch and be left there during the winter?
Unfortunately, no, your peace lily will only survive down to about 45 degrees without sustaining damage. You will want to move it indoors when the temperatures dip below 50. Here is an article on their care: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/peace-lily/peace-lily-plants.htm
My lower leaves keep turning yellow. When I trim it the whole stem comes out and in the middle I see a round opening. What does this mean? No more white flowers blooming either on the huge plant in a 8 in pot. Need some guidance quickly.
