All the leafs on my peace lily are turning yellow and the very tip of the leaf and flower is brown, I need to save this plant it was bought for my fathers funeral, thank you
Have you fertilized recently? If you have not, then it could be lacking in nutrients. Also, they don't like direct sunlight, so they could be getting too much light. Unfortunately, over and underwatering can cause this too. Can you include a photo, and a description of the care that you provide for it?
Here is an article for guidelines on how to care for these: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/peace-lily/peace-lily-plants.htm
The peace lily is in a large (at least 18 inches) pot. There are new leaves starting from the center of the plant, but the outer leaves are drooping. Should they be cut off? What is the cause of this? I don't have a photo, the plant belongs to a friend without email.
Drooping leaves generally indicates that the plant is thirsty and needs water. Peace Lily are very good at telling you when they need water.
Your plant also could need repotting.

I followed your directions on how to divide my peace lilly, Well, all of them are dying. I waited for the recovering time specified...but, yep they are dying. I had a beautiful healthy overgrown plant, it was getting a bit root bound and too big. Please tell me what I did wrong? I have uploaded photos of my process.
They will do this during recovery. It is important to keep them out of full sun until they recover. It is best to keep this in filtered light anyway, although it can handle it on occasion, it is best to have filtered light. Also, make sure the soil is moist, but not wet. This can cause the split to fail.
I would also add some peroxide to the water next time you water it. replace 1/3 of the water with it. This will help what looks like the start of an infection.
I received a Peace Lily by a florist and did not receive instructions. It seems to be sitting in water and not soil. Is that correct? Should I repot is soil, or will it continue to live in water?

My peace lily has lots of brown leaves. I don't water it often, yet even the young leaves starts to brown and die easily.
You may want to water with distilled water or let the tap water sit out 48 hours before using.
Peace Lily can be sensitive to salts in the water.
