I have a large peace lily. Recently I have noticed some type of growth on the back of the leaves and stems. Can you tell me what this is and how to treat it.
It looks like scale insects. It may take a while to completely get rid of it. Here is how:

I have overwatered and most of the leaves are limp and turning yellow. Can I save it? If so, how?
Quickly repot the plant in fresh soil and a clean container. Here is more:

How do I restore my peace lily plant from brown tipped and yellow colour leaves. Already removed a few dead-looking leaves.
It looks like it could use a larger pot but not as big as the one it is sitting in. Just go up one or two inches in diameter. It likely needs more humidity and proper watering. This article should help:

dug it out, this is all that is left of the roots. I’m assuming it’s rotted, but is it worth repotting or is it done for at t his point? It’s an 8 yr old plant. It started to wilt not long after reporting it into a larger pot. It had been at least 3 years since it was last repotted. Was planning repot it back into its last home, which is a 12” pot.
It isn't, necessarily, done for. You may be able to save it with a repotting and a fungicide.

Received a Peace Lily approximately 2.5 years ago. Indoor houseplant, desert climate, placement near window, southwest exposure shaded by a second level walkway. Grew strong and healthy until last winter when the tips started to turn black, then the shoots, finally the whole plant dwindled in size. Now barely 4-5 inches, tips still turn black, leaves die. However, lots of baby shoots keep coming up, almost over night:) ~ It wants to live. We took the plant to a reputable nursery last spring, 45 yrs. in business. Plant was re-potted, did not find root damage nor disease. They kept it a week. Lots of shoots started up, again, but the cycle repeated. Dear plant keeps trying to thrive. Last week, 6 months later, took the plant back to the nursery. Onne guy said, toss it. Never! We want to find a way to help this plant heal. Nursery lastest recommendation: Dilute Miricle Grow and spray daily. Appreciate, plant guidance and wisdom. Will you reply individually?
It could be too much or too little water, or the plant may be sensitive to chemicals in your tap water. Try watering with distilled or filtered water and follow these instructions for watering:
