Hello! I'm about to interview for a job at a garden shop, but I don't have a lot of experience gardening because of my city upbringing. Any general tips or pieces of information that might help make it seem like I know what I'm talking about? Thank you!
I would be honest about your experience but it sounds like your excited and ready to get to work! Those traits will take you a long way!
Know the growing zone that you live in, that helps!

Good luck and Happy Gardening!
Basic help needed in a garden center is soil types and use; fertilizers, plant types; Perennials and annuals, planting trees and shrubs.
When I first started out working in a garden center, I spent a lot of time reading plant tags! A wealth of knowledge is in those little tags.
Hi there The tree in our front yard has been leaning for some time. I’m not sure the type of tree, but I would imagine that it is over 12 years old as that is the age of our house. The tree is leaning west and there is often a strong west wind during storms, so although it wasnt one storm, it could be the cumulative of several high winds that has cause it. My question is- is it possible to straighten out this tree? Would tieing it to a metal stake do anything? Is it possible to dig it up and try to even it out? I have attached a picture for reference. Thanks!!

I have had two of these plants in my garden for three years. They have flourished each year, then this happens over the last 6 weeks. Can I salvage anything of them, or are they a lost cause.
I have a stump of an old tree in my garden. I would like to hollow some of it out and use as a natural planter. I'm unsure what to plant though. I would like something that would hang over the sides. But I also like the idea of succulents. Not sure if they can be planted outdoors in the UK though and whether they would take to a stump planter. The location is sunny.
I am unfamiliar with your area, as we are based in the U.S. If you can include a little information about the climate, and as long as the tree was not a nut tree (these are toxic to most plants) then I will be more than glad to help you find a plant that will suit your needs.
What would you do with this bank!!
What climate zone are you in? Is this full sun, or shade? Can you include a photo? This will help me to know what you can do with this.
I live on zone 9. I bought the plant from a nusery/tree company. It says on the package earlyblue plant and appears to be a piece of root that can be planted and grow into a nice bush. At least thats what i thought. I have the plant in a nice size terra cotta pot with good a mixed soil consisting og miricale grow soil and mushroom compost. I have always wantes to have some fruit bushes and thought id start with the blueberry bush. Well i have had it plantes for approximatley 8 weeks . And nothing. No growth. Help please..
MiracleGro will be the problem here. Blueberries are sensitive to nitrate fertilizers, and this mix is deadly for a blueberry plant. It would be best to use an inert soil with specific blueberry feed, or pre-bagged blueberry mix.
Blueberry feed will contain ammonium sulfate, not ammonium nitrate.
i have about 9 vegetables plants in pots. we used plants food, but now i want to know how often do i water. i think that i should never let the soil become dry, but how often and how much water.
Potted vegetables will need daily watering, and even more often if temperatures are above 80 degrees F.
