I live on zone 9. I bought the plant from a nusery/tree company. It says on the package earlyblue plant and appears to be a piece of root that can be planted and grow into a nice bush. At least thats what i thought. I have the plant in a nice size terra cotta pot with good a mixed soil consisting og miricale grow soil and mushroom compost. I have always wantes to have some fruit bushes and thought id start with the blueberry bush. Well i have had it plantes for approximatley 8 weeks . And nothing. No growth. Help please..

MiracleGro will be the problem here. Blueberries are sensitive to nitrate fertilizers, and this mix is deadly for a blueberry plant. It would be best to use an inert soil with specific blueberry feed, or pre-bagged blueberry mix.

Blueberry feed will contain ammonium sulfate, not ammonium nitrate.
