My Acer tree has been repotted and is by the house wall, sheltered from the sun and the wind, but all the leaves are turning brown.
It may have gone into transplant shock. Keep it well watered till it recovers. The leaves may drop, but they should grow back.
My Bloodgood maple's bark is splitting. The tree is approx. 15' tall & 20 years old. What can I do?
Animals and extreme weather can sometimes damage bark, but your tree's damage seems more severe. I recommend bringing in an arborist to evaluate whether this tree can be saved.

I have a medium maple tree in the backyard of a home I recently purchased. One of the branches close to the ground has been cut not following the three point cut method. I don't know why or when. Now I see the color of the collar to be different than the rest of the tree trunk. Is this infected? What can I do to improve the condition?
This is a bark inclusion, where another branch grew out of the base, and through the other. It looks like the offending growth was infected or cut, leading to one at one time.
The rest of the tree looks ok, and if this continues then I wouldn't worry, immediately. Long term, however, this will weaken the integrity of the tree.
I have a beautiful Coral Bark Maple in my garden and have noticed just recently some tiny seedlings sprouting in between paving stones. Is there any way I can pot them up and encourage them to grow stronger and then hopefull last the next winter?
You can, but as an open pollinated seedling you will not expect it to resemble the parent. These articles will help:
