I would recommend making inquiries with your local nurseries and home and garden stores. You could also try googling for these varieties on http://www.google.com.

Unless you have winter Jasmine, these will only survive in zones 9, and 10 which are pretty much tropical. If this is not a winter type, then it will have to be replaced every year. If this is a winter variety, then it should come back about now. Break a stem until you reach any green at all. If there is none, then the plant is likely dead.

This looks like the work of caterpillars or even possible webworms.

I wouldn't use potting soil, since most contain quite a bit of nutrients. This will burn sensitive newly forming roots. I recommend trying again, or putting those cuttings for a second chance into some seedling mix, moss, or any other media with little to no nutrients. This will get you much better results in the future.

If you are growing this indoors, it will not matter which variety you choose. You can find something in your local nurseries, or you can look online for most fragrant varieties. This article will help you with the general care of these: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/jasmine/growing-jasmine-indoors.htm

    Dear Christopher,

That’s kind of you trying to help your colleagues with their nostalgia for Jasmine.
I’m Mediterranean myself from North Africa and lived in Louisiana for 13 years. In my Louisiana house I had the same kind of jasmine that I use to see in my coastal city in Algeria.
It is called Star Jasmine - Trachelospermum jasminoides
It smells like haven around sunset. Maybe you will be able to order online or you will find it in local nurseries. I hope I was able to help.
    Good luck
    Dija

I see what looks to be calcium, and magnesium deficiencies. DOLOMITIC lime will be the best bet here. This and an amendment of, either, compost, or an all purpose fertilizer will be of quite a bit of help, at least once per year, and up to three.

If it is a liquid fertilizer, then feed once every 1 or 2 months, following all instructions on the package.

This article will give you more information on their care: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/shrubs/jessamine-plants/night-blooming-jasmine-care.htm

I potted it into ericaceous compost a few months ago but still losing leaves - so should I add some dolomitic lime too? Thanks so much for your help.
