This strange thing is growing on my jasmine there is only this one and I have never seen it before. It is firm to the touch and is attached just the same as a leaf.
Those are seed pods! Here are some articles that will offer more information on the plant:
It did flower when it was a small plant.

the yard for the fall & winter...? The winter gets pretty cold here.
Unless you know the variety name and whether it is hardy in your zone 7, I suggest taking it in for the winter. Some jasmines are not hardy in cold weather, however, common jasmine is hardy to USDA zone 7. Some need to be planted in zones 8 to 10.

Hi, I have a 5ft Jasmine shrub (may be over 70yrs old) in a pot upstairs in my home. Drips from the pot are damaging the floor. Need to put a larger saucer under the pot. Could not find a proper one so am using a 21" somewhat flimsy one and keeping the one in use stacking them. Can't lift the pot to achieve this. Do you know of a method to accomplish this? Suggestions for a sturdier saucer??? Will need to do the same for several other plants but I can repot those without concern. Thanks in advance, Chris
Lifting a heavy pot can be challenging. You can use a lever for leverage, a dolly or hand truck, or get assistance from someone. If the pot's contents are heavy, consider transferring them to smaller containers or using lifting straps. Prioritize safety and proper lifting techniques to avoid injury.
If you do not have anything suitable for a saucer, then purchasing one made for your container may be necessary.
I have numerous areas with Asian Jasmine and they have been weakening due to the climate changes. I am looking for a good 10 10 10 organic fertilizer to use on them.
I'm sorry, but I can't recommend certain brands. I can say that the absolute best fertilizers that I use now are separated into their individual elements. Completely organic as well. They allow you to mix up ratios according to the plants' life cycles. It is very expensive, but worth it for how much you get.
Otherwise, you can try a few products that you find, and consult the label for appropriate use.
Pot is 17 round 5 high. Claw pot. Most interested in which roots to trim back? Been in this pot for many years. Not blooming like it has
This article tells you how to trim the roots for repotting. To make more room in the container, divide the plant and start a second jasmine in another container.
