I have a neon green worm eating my tomatoes. It's not a hornworm, though. Can you tell me what it is?
It is hard to say with any certainty as there are literally tons of worms/caterpillars that it could be. Regardless of the worm, however, Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) can be sprayed on the plants. This insecticide attacks the digestive system of the insects but is not harmful to humans or plants, so using it on tomatoes is safe. Neem oil is also helpful. These articles should help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/pesticides/using-bacillus-thuringiensis.htm

I have a large garden with a heavy infestation of white flies. Suggestions?
Neem oil should take care of them, but here is some more info on them, just in case you wanted to know more: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/whitefly-control.htm
I have wasps in our overhang near the bottom of the house. I cannot see a nest. They are going in and out at a corner. What can I do?

This morning at 7:30 when watering my shrubs (compactas and Burford hollies), I saw a fat light green worm like thing on top of the mulch. It must have gone back into the ground because I did not see it when I looked a few minutes later. It was about 2-3 inches long I think. Was this some type of worm? Please don't tell me it was a snake. Thank you.
It would be difficult to identify from your description.
Many caterpillars are harmless in the garden and will become beautiful butterflies.
Inspect your plants for any other signs of insects or insect damage.
If you see a problem on the plants you can treat with Neem Oil, it is safe for people, pets and bees.

I got an e-mail stating that slugs and snails would be repelled by putting cut cucumber slices in an aluminum pie tin. It's just the opposite. They are coming in droves. I've been setting the cukes/pans out every night at dusk and then go out about 10 p.m. to check pans to see what I've caught. It was fun at first, but I've been doing this for probably 2+ months now, and I'm still averaging 75+ nightly (last night it was 150 and counting). I am wondering where on earth they are coming from. Is my yard a breeding ground? Am I a slug and snail enabler? What should I do now? They're also still eating my plants and also eating the cukes in the pans. Should I throw out some and quit putting out the cut cukes in the pie tins? I'm baffeled at what's going on! Have I started something that I will never be able to finish?
Well, it certainly sounds as if the cucumbers are attracting the slugs, rather than repelling them. Were these meant to be traps instead? At any rate, I would definitely forgo using the cukes as it's obviously not working in your favor. Perhaps, the following article will be of some help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/facts-about-slugs-and-how-to-kill-garden-slugs.htm
How can I treat cabbage I have sown that has holes in the leaves. I have used slug pellets but the holes are still there.

I had caterpillars in my buds and sprayed with Bt. It appears I have killed them but the pistols have all turned red. There is still 4 to 6 weeks of growing left. Will the pistols return to white or have I screwed something up?
The buds and flowers may be effected for the remainder of this season.
Providing the plant stays insect free it should return to normal for next season.
