Q.Saw something unfamiliar in flower bed

Anonymous added on September 1, 2015 | Answered

This morning at 7:30 when watering my shrubs (compactas and Burford hollies), I saw a fat light green worm like thing on top of the mulch. It must have gone back into the ground because I did not see it when I looked a few minutes later. It was about 2-3 inches long I think. Was this some type of worm? Please don’t tell me it was a snake. Thank you.

It would be difficult to identify from your description.
Many caterpillars are harmless in the garden and will become beautiful butterflies.

Inspect your plants for any other signs of insects or insect damage.
If you see a problem on the plants you can treat with Neem Oil, it is safe for people, pets and bees.
