Is there anything I can do to save the plant?
This is a common reaction to transplanting. It will help if you can rig up some shade from the hottest part of the day. Water well when the soil is dry down an inch and when it is dry down 2 inches after a month or two. Right now, it is struggling to establish its roots. As difficult as this sounds, I suggest you remove most of the flower buds. Flowering is very taxing on a plant in the best of times. Give it a break and let it flower later after you see new leaf/stem growth. Top-dress with compost or use a shrub fertilizer once new growth appears.
I bought my Hibiscus tree early spring last year. It is about 5 feet tall and in a very large pot with great drainage . I had it outside on my deck.It bloomed constantly & I left it out until the first freeze warning, I live in Alabama. I brought it inside for the winter & kept it by a large window. I watered it very little and I like cool temps so my thermostat stays around 65 degrees in the winter. The leaves fell out slowly but the tree seemed fine. When the danger of frost was over I moved it back to the deck.It was beginning to sprout leaves. Now the leaves are full & beautiful again but it has not started to produce blooms. What should I do?
This will bloom when it is ready to do so. You can help a little by adding a little potassium phosphate, and giving it full sun for a few hours a day. Other than this, there is not much to be done.

Hibiscus bloom throughout the summer. Each flower lasts 24 hours.
Is it particularly hard to grow hibiscus from seed? My daughter said she has ordered some seed and asked me about growing the seeds. I have never done this so I had no definitive answer for her. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I wintered my hybiscus trees and they were starting to grow leaves back. I may have over watered them and they look dead. I did run my nail on the trunk and branches and it is bright green under the bark. I have them outside and am watering but no leaves yet. It has been outside about three weeks. Will they come back?
It is possible, but you should not water until the top 2 inches of soil is completely dry. I would apply some wettable sulfur and dolomitic lime to try and help keep away any infections that will occur with over watering. Depending on if yours is tropical or hardy, and what your climate zone is will determine how soon you will see leaves.

I have 2 hibiscus plants that were purchased around Mother's day. Both plants are on the deck and get the south sunlight. We water every other day and have fertilized them with a granular miracle grow. Lots of flowers, they last for 1 day and then wilt or fall off. A lot of leaves on both plants are turning a yellowish color and then they fall off. No signs of any insects when checking the plants Any help would be appreciated
The flowers will only last one day. This will be normal. As far as the leaves turning yellow... It is likely getting rootbound in its container if you have not planted it into a larger one yet. You will want to repot into something larger and give it fresh soil and fertilizer. I believe this will solve your problem completely.
I have a hibiscus plant (tree) which have buds but are not opening. What do I do?
Here is a good article that describes pests that might be affecting buds. If treatment doesn't remedy the problem, please repost with a photo.
