Q.Hibiscus Problems

Zone Overland Park, Ks | mickeylieberman65 added on June 8, 2018 | Answered

I have 2 hibiscus plants that were purchased around Mother’s day.

Both plants are on the deck and get the south sunlight.

We water every other day and have fertilized them with a granular miracle grow.

Lots of flowers, they last for 1 day and then wilt or fall off.

A lot of leaves on both plants are turning a yellowish color and then they fall off.

No signs of any insects when checking the plants

Any help would be appreciated

The flowers will only last one day. This will be normal. As far as the leaves turning yellow... It is likely getting rootbound in its container if you have not planted it into a larger one yet. You will want to repot into something larger and give it fresh soil and fertilizer. I believe this will solve your problem completely.
