My beautiful hibiscus plant is losing its leaves. It was given to me as a birthday present and I'd hate to lose it. Help please!
If it is indoors, this is normal behavior. It will stop when it is moved outside. If it is outdoors, this article will help you pinpoint the problem: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/hibiscus/answers-to-what-causes-hibiscus-leaves-turning-yellow.htm
My mom's potted hibiscus tree hasn't shown any signs of blooming since the winter months. The plant was kept out of the cold during these months.
It may need some pruning. Here is an article that you may find helpful: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/hibiscus/tips-for-pruning-hibiscus-plants-when-to-prune-hibiscus.htm
How big and how tall will a hibiscus tree get? And is care for it the same as the bush?
They normally don't get much taller than 5-6'. The care depends on whether it is a tropical or hardy tree. The tropical ones need to be protected from cold and the hardy ones do not. Other than that, the care is the same.
Are coffee grounds good for Hibiscus plants in the NE area of the country?
Yes, coffee grounds are great for soil but should be composted whenever possible. This article will help with that: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/composting/ingredients/coffee-grounds-gardening.htm
I have a hibiscus that has no leaves, but upon checking a stem, it is still alive. All the leaves dropped during the winter in our garage. There does not appear to be any new growth coming at all. I did have white flies last summer but got rid of them after spraying two to three times. I have now started watering with a little fertilizer. This is my second year with it. Got it from Lowes early summer last year. Any hope?
If the stem is alive, it will come back. It is simply in dormancy. If the weather is consistently over 50 degrees F, place it back outside and water as you normally would. You will see leaves in just a few weeks.
The instructions for spraying Ortho Bug-B-Gon on my Hibiscus plants stated it was OK for vegetables and flowering plants; however, all the leaves and flowers turned brown and are falling off. Can anything be done to save our plants?
Water the plants thoroughly, top to bottom. This will wash off what is left. They may recover, but I suspect that the bug spray had herbacide accidentally mixed in with it.
Was the spray container from the manufacturer or one of your own? Also, was it hot the day you sprayed the plants?
I planted 4 hibiscus plants last year outside and I cut them back in Nov. They are just sticks now. Did I kill them? They were beautiful and very tall. How do I know if they're dead, and when would they start getting new sprouts? I couldn't bring them inside as they were too big. Please help.
It may still be alive and will come back if it is still alive. This article will help you determine if it is still alive:

I did the same thing the first year i had mine, and I thought I killed them too, but the (what looked like dead sticks) grew new growth, just leave them alone they will come back.
