An all purpose balanced fertilizer like 10-10-10 in a slow release form is often recommended. You can also look up certain plant varieties on our website for specific fertilization tips. If it is not a fruit tree, search our database for the type of tree at http://www.gardeningknowhow.com. You can also ask your local extension agent who will be well versed on the trees in your area and how to best fertilize them.
