How often should a large potted plant get water
If the container has drainage holes, and extra water is allowed to flow from the container, then once the soil is dry down to about 2 or 3 inches will be when to water.
The time it takes to dry will vary based on conditions at the time. You can use a meter, or the old fashioned method- Your finger.

I just want to know if I cut back my large elephant ears back like was supposed to do in winter will they still stay large because someone said they would only be small??
You are in zone 8b, so depending on your cultivar, you may need to mulch or cover your elephant ear for winter. There's really only one way to tell for sure how this will turn out, and that is to wait and see. There are so many variables. Here's an article for you:

I have a friend that let all of his elephant ear tubers freeze. I would like to share mine with him. They have been in storage all winter and are fine. But there are no pups on the tuber. Can you split or divide the tubers, and have them grow? Whats the proper way? Thank you, Bruce

I kept my EE plant indoors for winter in a pot didn’t cut back anything. Now it’s spring I’ve brought them back outside. Should I cut anything off . They seem to be wanting to droop badly? Please help.
If you see new growth coming up from the crown, then yes, it will be a good idea to prune some of the old leaves off.

I recently move my elephant ear plant outside it was receiving a lot of sun, I notice some of the leaves and the stems were turning white, I move them to another location that received about half as much sunlight, not sure what to do.
It seems that you have already done what needed to be done.
They will have trouble adjusting to a new spot, instantly. They will need to be acclimated to the spot slowly.

lant? The plant is indoors and some moisture is gathering around the edges that have been eaten. There are some brown spots appearing as well. Any suggestions to help me save my new plant would be most appreciated.
I'm not sure what pest has eaten your leaves but treating with Neem Oil may help .
Neem Oil is organic and safe for people and bees.
