his is a plant from a cucumber seed which i sowed about above a month ago, since yesterday it is like this, and can't keep its balance, its stem is thinning and weakening and it looks as the cucumber plant is dying, maybe because we cooked barbecue the day before yesterday and the plant was nea, or any other reason? What should i do to stop it dying?
Seedlings are sensitive to light conditions and watering. The soil should be moist but never dry or soggy.
You need to provide a bright lit window, but not direct sunlight.
A grow light can help if you have a low light situation.

What is the cause of this: My plants grow fine, but after the 1st picking of a few cucumbers, the plants start to die from bottom up. The stem turns yellow, and leaves start getting crispy and dry and yellow to brown in color. I have read about "cucumber borers." If that's what it is, how do you get rid of it? I do like me some cucumbers.
A vine borer is a possibility. If so, you will see holes in the lower stem where the borer entered. The best way to diagnose it is to cut open the stem of one of the affected plants- you will see the borer inside.
It could also be cucumber bacterial wilt or several other diseases:

Many of the causes are either insects or diseases spread by insects, so look carefully for any bugs on or around the plants. Cucumber beetles and squash bugs are some of the suspects.
It could also be a weather issue: some varieties of cucumbers do better in certain regions than others, so if you have one that isn't suited to your conditions, it might wilt and slowly die.

My pickling cucumber was looking wonderful and was starting to set lots of small cucumbers. Then the next day I noticed it was starting to look limp. By the end of that day it was totally wilted. I pulled it up and removed it, but I want to know if I can plant another in the same dirt or if I need to get rid of the dirt it had been growing in.
This could be cucumber bacterial wilt:

Or, something could have cut the vine off at the base, causing the whole plant to wilt. Other possible causes are here:

In case it is a disease, it's best to get rid of the dirt to avoid repeating the same problem. Or, at least don't grow cucumbers in the same spot for several years.
What is the purpose of planting them in hills?
Planting in hills optimizing the drainage which is crucial for good plant yield.
The hills should be 6 to 8 inches high and space them 3 to 6 feet apart.
Bush type cucumbers can be planted closer together.
I started growing pickling cucumbers inside my home at the end of April beginning of May, the little shoes came up quickly and looked really healthy I was sure I'd have at least eight or nine plants to plant in my small garden. They were getting tall but not big enough yet to plant and just as they started to develop their third leaf I started bringing them outside to get them used to the outdoors I noticed some soil flies around them and scraped off the topsoil and replaced it with clean soil and that seemed to help but soon after I started bring the plants and outside they begin to shrivel up and seems to stop growing all together. They have been this way for about a week and a half. There are two larger ones that look like they might make it is there anyway I can save them? I have uploaded a before and after.
This is most likely a condition known as damping off. This article may help
