I have let mine get totally too big. It shades my zinnias and veggies too much. Is it too late to prune it? I was thinking of just taking it completely out but if I could prune it down, I would like to. It's over 10 years old.
I just replanted my myrtle tree but it looks to be dying. What can I do?
It is most likely very stressed.
Watering a newly planted tree is very important. Water it more then you have been.

My crepe myrtles have only shed their bark one time in five years. The problem is the leaves turning brown around the ends and working back to the stems. What to do?
Watering issues could be a cause.
Inspect for insects or disease and treat with Neem Oil if found.

My Crepe Myrtle tree keeps losing the new branches that it is growing. They seem to grow in and look healthy but then wither and fall off. What is wrong?
Sounds like it has tip blight. This article will help:

Last year was the first time I planted crepe myrtles. This year each tree has the pods that are black in color. Do I remove these or will the tree take care of itself? It is where a new bloom would appear from and nothing was removed from the trees last year. Thanks.
You can remove these if you want or leave them. Either way is fine and will not cause any issues with the tree.
I have a crepe myrtle tree that in the last couple of days has been covered from ground trunk to tree top in a cottony web. The trunk and branches are now covered in this thick, white, cottony web. I pulled some of the webbing off the tree and see no insects, no cocoon like material clinging to the web...just the web. What is it and what should I do? This is a tree that is almost as tall as my two story house. Hope you can shed some light on this problem. Thank you.
The webbing may be from tent worms or spider mites. These articles will help with them:

My crape myrtle completely leafed out this spring, then on all but two branches the leaves turned orange (like fall) and fell off. It is now June and 3/4 of my tree is bare branches. We had a wet, cool spring (I live in California's San Joaquin Valley). Can you tell me what happened and is the tree salvageable or should I destroy it? I might add that now there are many branches and leaves coming up from the bottom of the trunk. I have always cut them off before, but should I leave them and make a shrub?
It sounds like you tree may have a fungus or possibly an insect problem. Treat it with both a fungicide and a pesticide. Neem oil is nice as it is both a fungicide and a pesticide.
The sprouts at the bottom are suckers. When a tree is stressed (as yours is), it will start sending up more of these in an attempt to grow at any cost. These can be removed without harming the tree.
