We have two Yucca growing outside. They are both growing in massive concrete tubs in sandy soil and as far as we can tell they seem to be enjoying their environment. Our question! They both have young growth, which has started growing on the main trunk. If we snipped them off, can we propagate these new shoots? They really look healthy. Although it is winter now, would these young offspring survive? Our main aim for the younglings is to get them estabilished to become a shelter belt. In saying that the two we have got are growing in conditions that are come sunny, windy, and rainy, but we put them in as young plants and as I mentioned doing well. Hope you can help. Regards Shona K
Yes, you can propagate the yucca pups but make sure you keep them sheltered from any cold. These articles can help:

How much water should I give my Yucca plant? It is indoors.
Water only when the soil is dry to the touch (when your finger feels dry soil 10 cm down or so). Allow the plant to dry between waterings.
Dry soil will not stick together when you pinch it between your fingers; however, it should not be hard and scratchy, either. And test the soil as close to the bottom of the pot as you can get; yuccas should aerate all the way to the bottom.
How well would an outside yucca do in a large pot in semi shade? What kind of pot? Deep or wide? What kind of planting medium?
They can do fine in that spot, though in semi shade, you may see slow growth and it will not bloom much.
As for a pot, a deep one is better. Soil should be a well draining potting soil with just a little sand mixed in.
I have a small/med yucca plant that I'm growing indoors and it needs to be repotted. What size pot do I need?
Go up another couple sizes when repotting. The following articles should be of some help to you: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/foliage/yucca/separating-and-repotting-yucca-offshoot-pups.htm

I have my Yucca Plant on my Balcony in the Summer. I want to bring it inside now, but I need to clean the leaves I think, because they look a little gray from the dust by standing on the Balcony. So my question is with what can I clean them?
Normally, wiping them down with a soft, wet cloth is adequate. This article will also help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/hpgen/how-to-clean-houseplants.htm
In addition to the advice in the above article, I would add that plants are best kept clean on a regular basis, like every time you water. You can dust them with a duster - feathers are increasingly hard to find, but the micro-fiber ones work just fine. Or you can clean them with a soft cloth, even paper towel - put one hand under the leaf to support it, and wipe gently but firmly with the cloth. You might want to use soapy water at first cleaning, since they've been outside all summer.
I have pet rats and one loves playing with the fallen leaf from Yucca plant, but are they poisonous?

"Typically, when dogs and cats ingest yucca, it results in mild vomiting and diarrhea.", from another article.
I would suggest you ask your vet just to be certain. Some sources say yucca is not harmful to dogs and cats, other sources say it is to some degree. I was told once that the difference between a dog/cat and a mouse/rat eating mouse/rat poison was that dog/cat could vomit it up and the rodent could not.
My son has a yucca that has a main trunk with a branch coming off this trunk. The plant is growing well but it was laying against the side of the pot. I lifted the plant away from the side of the pot to find that the main trunk was hollow, which you could press together, so could not understand why it was growing so well. What can I do to save the plant from falling over completely?
The following article has methods of propagation. The first method works well with yucca plants. https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/hpgen/propagating-houseplants-from-cane-cuttings-and-divisions.htm
