I have a hibiscus plant that we have outside in warm weather and bring in the house for winter. It is at least three years old and the blooms are always beautiful. The last it bloomed was a year ago Christmas. It has never bloomed again. Is it done blooming because it was never meant to be a house plant? The frost would have killed it had I not brought it in the house for winter.
It likely needs some more fertilizer, especially phosphorus which helps with blooming. Use a "bloom booster" fertilizer or add some bone meal to the soil to help add some phosphorus.
Have you considered pruning it? Sometimes, a good pruning may be just the jolt it needs to kick flowering into high gear. This article will help with that: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/hibiscus/tips-for-pruning-hibiscus-plants-when-to-prune-hibiscus.htm
I just bought a couple of hibiscus trees about three feet tall. I transplanted them into much larger containers. The one is doing great, flowering every day. The other is getting yellow leaves every day. Any suggestions?
It may be suffering from transplant shock. This article will help with that:

I live southeast of Houston, Texas. I want to plant a Hibiscus in my yard. Should I keep it in a pot to bring in during the winter, or can I plant it in the ground and protect it from freezing temp. in winter? If I plant it in the ground, what is best way to winterize it? Also, do I need any special type of soil to start out with?
Keeping it in a pot would certainly help, as it can be easily moved indoors for overwintering. Of course, it also depends on the type of hibiscus you are growing. Hardy varieties can be grown outdoors in your area without any special attention. If considering container growing, this article will help with its winter care: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/hibiscus/wintering-hibiscus-indoors-winter-care-for-hibiscus.htm
I found what looked like dark brown on my new buds on my Hibiscus plant and when I rubbed it, it mashed like a bug/wet powder. I also saw very tiny white looking dots that were not part of the leaves. I could move them to the side. What type of soapy water should I use on them and is this the best cure?
I would suggest using neem oil on the plant. It is effective for treating numerous pests, especially those that commonly attack hibiscus--like aphids, scale, whiteflies, mites, and thrips. Here is more info: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/pesticides/neem-oil-uses.htm

My plants have been wintering well in MN. Just went in to check on them and again, there are tiny white specks flying about when I touch them. I believe they are aphids. What's my best approach to get rid of them prior to my being able to get them outdoors? I pruned them quite a lot last fall before I brought them indoors and they've been doing quite well this time. What sprays, bagging, etc. do you recommend?
Neem oil is an effective treatment for aphids. The following articles should be of some help to you: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/pesticides/neem-oil-uses.htm
