I have had a climbing hydrangea now for 2 years. I moved it, as it wasn't doing well and it's still the same and hasn't had any flowers - disappointed. It was in the shade and it was against the fence. It didn't look good so I moved it to the end of the garden which gets more sun. It doesn't seem to really like it there either. Also, it hasn't grown much and the bark is flaky. What can I do?
You may need to do some amending of your soil. The Climbing Hydrangea need a rich, moist, and well draining soil.
Make sure your watering well to help the plant become established before winter.

I bought creeping hydrangeas to grow in pots on our patio this spring. Will they survive the winter outside? I am afraid the wind and snow will kill them. Will they make it through the winter? Do I mulch and cover?
You can move to an area such as a garage or wrap the plants for winter.
You can use styrofoam and burlap to wrap the pots and plants.
Move to a sheltered area if you can.
Hydrangea is very healthy,;however, it is pulling down part of the fence it is climbing. It needs to be cut back and I'm wondering about the timing of this heavy pruning.
Late spring is a great time to prune up your vine.

My climbing hydrangea is wilting. What can I do? It was in full sun and started to wilt so moved to shade 3 days ago but has not recovered.
It may have suffered some stress from the bright sunlight location. Is this plant in a pot? Or did you relocate the plant?
Either way make sure your watering adequately. When the temperatures reach 80 degrees and warmer you may need to water twice a day.

My climbing hydrangea seems well established and is climbing on a structure camouflaging my propane tank. Sun in the afternoon and shade. 4 years now and no flowers. What's up? Is there a male/female requirement like a holly? Barbara
No, there is not male and female plants with Hydrangea.
This is likely a lack of phosphorous in the soil.

It is early spring here and I pruned my hydrangea, it is leaking liquid from the cut points. Will this do harm to my plant? tia
Pruning of your Climbing Hydrangea should be done in late summer, just after the plant has finished flowering.
If your plant needed a heavy prune, this is done late winter to early spring-generally before any active growth. Avoid pruning for the next year after a hard prune.
Bleeding from a prune should heal on it's own.
My climbing hydrangeas had some kind of pest last season, and I want to,prevent the same fate this year. EVERY leaf had round dead (or eaten) spots all around the edges and some spots in the centers too. Looked like scalloped edges !! Slugs???? Aphids??? How to,pretreat for this ????? I put out slug bait last year, but
