My type2 clematis has one 2ft stem bare then healthy growth and flower buds what can I do as I'm concerned that the thin bare stem could snap and I'll loose the plant it's a second year plant
You could try cutting back the entire plant to restart the growth.

I have clematis growing up a tree. it is beautiful on the outside but there are so many dead branches underneath it is ugly. Can I cut out the dead branches anytime.
Pruning is determined by the variety of Clematis that you have.
If your unsure, you can always prune and trim vines after blooming is completed.

i want some tips on planting my clematis! i wanna know why when i bought it the roots were up above dirt so do leave them above the ground or cover them with dirt since i read that they are not to get any sun and need to be covered by something like mulch! my first clematis and i really want it to be successful!
You should plant the Clematis as the same level it was in the container.

I live in lower Michigan, my Sweet Autumn Clematis is 3 years old. I cut it back to one foot tall in March..it still shows no new growth...is it dead? It seems like it should be showing some little bit of green shoots by now.
There is a possibility that it has died. There are certain times to prune certain clematis groups, and pruning them outside of this time frame risks their health. Can you include a photo? Maybe this can help me to see if it is dead or not. You can break off the tip of one of the branches to see if there is still life, or green inside.

i bought a clematis mrs n thompson at my grocery store greenhouse and i spent a week deciding where to put it! i dug out a new flower garden on the north side of house and put it there! the very next day we had tornado warnings and a huge downpour! thats when i realized that the whole bed was in standing water because my gutters didnt serve their purpose so rainwater poured right over the top of my new flower bed! i dodged a bullet that time because it seemed to be ok after that but yesterday there was another downpour and yet again it was pretty much sitting in a pond! It is raining again for 2nd day in a row and i dont think its goin2make it thru anymore standing water! i want to know if it will survive a move and, if so, how to go about it and tips on best place to move it!!! please help cause i really spent a lot of time just for this clematis so i dont want my time, energy, and money to be wasted! thank u!

My clematis was full of flowers. Then we had a hard rain and most of the petals fell. Should I cut back the spent flowers or leave them alone?
It isn't necessary to dead head, but in this case I would pinch back the stems of the lost flowers. This will help the plant pause and then resume growing healthy foliage.
