Can I spray my cherry tree now,in April, or will it make my cherries poisonous?
Go by this guide prepared by Wisconsin extension service: http://extension.wsu.edu/chelan-douglas/wp-content/uploads/sites/43/2014/05/organic_spray_home_cherries1.pdf
Most spraying is avoiding during leaf out and bloom.

Is there anything I can do to fix them? Will topping them help?
It is a little late in the year to do so, but they should still produce. Those were pruned a little hard, but regenerative pruning can prolong a trees fruiting ability with age. I don't think there is a need to do any extra pruning.
Hello, I am really mad... My trees are going to die again:( Two yeas ago I removed 3 cheery trees because they were eaten with holes. When removing trees I dug in to the core of the tree and found this larvae (see pic). I did not bother to identify thinking trees were dead so what's the point... not so fast. At the time of trees removal, I planted three new trees (japanese redbuds) in the same places and today I noticed that bark was breaking up with few holes, identical to the ones I saw on my dead trees from two years ago. Please help me identify these bugs! What should I do/ treat now? Thank you in advance SG
Those are tree borer larva. When they are already inside the tree, it is often too late to save them. The best that you can do is prevent them. This article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/trees/tgen/tree-borer-insects.htm
Article says that I need to identify borer, how can it be done? is there a resource I can use? Thank you
My girlfriend has a Carolina Cherry tree, and it seems to be doing poorly, as you can see from the attached photo of some of the leaves. We live in St. George, Utah which is zone 8. Any clues as to what the tree needs? Doesn't look like bugs. Thanks, Marty Grossman
This looks like Cherry Leaf Spot.

I purchased a dwarf carmine jewel cherry tree about 10 years ago and I have yet to see a blossom on it, only foliage . Frustrated on wondering why no blossoms and no fruit. any suggestions.
I found this information about the Carmine Jewel Cherry.
It does not require a pollinator to produce fruit, but having another cherry (Nanking, sandcherry) nearby will increase productivity.
Prune in early Spring before the bush breaks dormancy. Cherry buds are either vegetative or floral. Usually the end bud and thin side buds are vegetative and most of the larger buds are floral. When pruning, do not cut off tips of branches because you might be removing the vegetative buds and will have nothing to make new shoots.
Well-drained, sandy loam soil, free of perennial weeds, pH of 6.5 - 8.0, organic matter levels between 2 - 3%.
This article has more information on why your tree may not be producing.

I'm wondering when is the best time to spray cherry trees so cherries don't have worms.
Dormant oil can be sprayed during tree dormancy. Neem oil can also be used during the active growing season, but you will want to take care not to spray in full sun. It will be best to wait until it is cloudy, or during the early morning to spray.

I read Amy's article on cherry trees not fruiting (https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/cherry/cherry-tree-not-fruiting.htm). I have 23 fruit trees on my half-acre property and bees on my neighbor's about 150 feet away but my Bush Cherry (Romeo) didn't set any fruit after flowering heavily. It's self-pollinating but I have both tart and sweet cherries within 60 feet. The bush looks great. It's been growing for 2 years and no fruit. All of my other fruit trees did great this year so I don't think it was weather. Any ideas?
What is the age of this cherry? This can take several years if it was a seedling, and 2, or 3 even from graft in some instances. If you do not see any fruit by 5 or 6 years, then you can begin to suspect that something is wrong.
