The trees are about four years old. They are aroud seven feet high and are six feet apart.
Were these planted from seed, or was this an established tree already? This can make a big difference. This article can help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/cherry/cherry-tree-not-fruiting.htm
Hello! I moved into a new house this winter with two beautiful cherry trees in the front yard. One is doing very well and the other is not. It bloomed well and produced a lot of fruit but the leaves are wilted and there is no new growth in the branches.
This article will help you review the care needed.

How can I rid my Cherry tree of Japanese beetles?
If the tree has an active infestation you will need to spray with a potent bio-pesticide (organic program compatible but more expensive) like pyrethrum (pyrethrins) as a contact spray for knock down.

Or use a chemical insecticide like permethrin.

(very effective and less expensive)
Follow label rates for mixing and read precautions for personal and environmental protection. (Both are low toxicity for mammals but highly toxic to fish and honey bees.)
After you get the active infestion under control, you can spray preventively with 70% neem oil on a repeated basis during the growing season.

I am attaching the pics. This plant has been on our property for many years but this year it started to have red berries type of fruit. What is it and is it edible.
From the photos, it appears to be Prunus serotina, rum cherry, black cherry, an American native. And yes, the berries are edible, but the fleshy part only, not the seeds:
The only edible part of the plant is the fleshy part of the fruit, even the seeds contain toxins.

I'm going to attempt to clone my boss's Great grandpa's cherry tree.... What soil do you recommend?
