I read an article on this and it says to allow the pits to dry and then place in the freezer for ten weeks. My question is, this is early July, ten weeks would put me at early September here in Indiana. It is just starting to cool off and head into winter at that time, Can the pits be left in the freezer for and extended time to plant in the Spring?
They should be fine until spring as long as they are properly dried and stored. This article may help

What is causing my cherry tree to look like the base of the trunk is rotting away.?
It appears your tree is suffering from an advanced case of Phytophthora; crown and root rot.
This is a fungal infection that attacks the roots of the Cherry Tree.

Treating these diseases can prove difficult and can sometimes requires multiple applications of fungicidal or anti-bacterial sprays.
is very skimpy looking as in sick not much leaf, but leafs do not fall off
Plant sand cherries in a bed with full sun and fertile, fast-draining soil to encourage dense foliage growth and a deep, penetrating root system. Avoid planting them under overhanging shrubbery or trees since the shade and lack of air circulation will encourage insect pests and disease.
Feed sand cherries yearly in early spring before new growth emerges. Apply a 12-12-12 fertilizer at half strength around the base of the trunk. Water slowly and deeply after feeding to push the fertilizer deep into the soil.

Our little cherry tree is diseased and we don't know what caused it or how to cure it. Some of the leaves were cut or bitten off except the stems. Some of the leaves are curled and brownish on the ends. There 3 growths of orange translucent balls that are hard. I don't know what to do to help our poor little tree. Any advice will be more than appreciated thank you Jayne Carlson jaycee562@verizon.net
It appears to be a Canker on your tree and may very well be pest issues as well.

The tree is about 10 years old and its very full and tall. It produces buds but never flowers. We live in Connecticut, tree is on the south Side of the house it gets plenty of sun. What am I doing wrong?
Flowers can be minimum and not last very long. Some varieties do not bloom well, especially if grown in a warmer climate.
Optimize care as covered in the article below.

Pyrethrin based bark spray has been recommended for borers (I have sap at the base of the tree). I can only find Pyrethrin based garden sprays. Would these be suitable for spraying cherry tree bark? Also, when is the proper time to spray, fall or spring?
As we say in the horticulture business, "the label is the law". If the label of the product you found allows cherry tree spraying, or general garden use on fruit trees, then you can use it and it should be suitable for a bark infestation. If this use is not listed on the label (for example, the spray is only for vegetables), then you can't use it on cherries. In the second case, perhaps the person who recommended the bark spray could suggest a place to find the suitable product.
