This may sound daft, but do broccoli and cauliflower keep producing off the same plant or do they need to be re sowed after each season?
My husband and I have made a raised bed for vegetables from a mound of earth and an old compost heap. We planted some winter cabbage and cauliflower but they have all been eaten I presume by slugs, etc. I was told I could use Jeys Fluid to sterilize the ground which we have done and don't intend to use the ground till next spring BUT I have now been told that using Jeys Fluid is illegal. Can you help please?
You can try using Diatomaceous Earth and eggshells in your bed. These articles will also help with snail and slug control: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/insects/organic-snail-control.htm

I highly recommend a product called Sluggo. It worked great for me when I needed to gain control of slugs and a few snails too. Here is a link for you: http://www.planetnatural.com/product/sluggo-snail-slug-bait/
First time to try a winter garden. Do you do anything to promote the development of a head for either of these vegetables? My broccoli has produced well, but I don't seem to be getting anything but leaves on the cabbage and cauliflower.
They need cool weather in order to form heads. You can help keep them "cool" by placing mulch around the base and this should help.
After harvesting my cauliflower head, do I leave the remaining leaves on the plant? Will it regrow another cauliflower head? Do I need to pull out everything/root to replant for the next season or it will continue to produce?
You can dispose of the plant after you harvest the cauliflower head; it won't continue to produce. However, be sure to blanch the cauliflower before harvest to keep the head sweet and white in color. Does the cauliflower plant just produce 1 head? After cutting head from plant, will the plant grow another one?
You can continue to harvest cauliflower after you harvest the main head. You can harvest it continuously after that because it will continue to produce little florets which can also be harvested and eaten.

Our cauliflower heads are the right size to pick but they are purplish in color. When you cut into them, they don't taste right. Any ideas?
Here is an article that explains this occurrence.

I think my cauliflower is ready for harvest and I never blanched it. This is my first time planting it. Can I still eat it and is there an over ripe time when it's not edible?
Here is a link that explains blanching. I personally do not blanch my cauliflower and I thinks it's flavor is wonderful.
