We have an abundance of Claret cup Cactus on our property in SE Colorado, at 7,000 feet in elevation. Last year and in year's past, the lovely red blooming flowers were prolific. This has not the case in the spring and summer of 2016. Do these Cactus not bloom every year as I had thought? This spring, too, was not as wet as in 2015, and the summer has been much hotter, if these factors make a difference. We look forward to your response and thank you in advance.
Environmental factors will certainly effect flowering.
This cactus does produce flowers yearly.

Can you root bunny ear cactus in water? Someone gave me cactus cuttings and I know nothing about rooting/growing them. I think it's a bunny ear but not sure. It is paddle type with very soft thorns not sure if it is a bunny ear or not. Please help. Do you root it in water or cactus soil? I don't want to kill it!
Propagating in water will not work with a cactus.
These links will help you.
I was wondering if you could help me identify this cactus. It was my late grandfather's and I have been looking after it for over a decade now. It was large, had many bulbs and produced a reddish flower. It started to rot and I managed to rescue one shoot. That was probably about 4 years ago. Since then it has grown as in the attached picture, but has not produced a flower at all. It would be great to ID the cactus so I can gather more information on its care, and what to do with the pups. Kind regards Matt
There are approximately 2000 types of Cactus.
I'm not able to make an identification, but these links may help you do some research and can narrow the field of types.

Can you plant cactus in the same soil as your venus fly trap?
It is possible to plant these two plants in the same or a similar mix because they have similar potting requirements. However, you won't be able to fertilize your cactus if it's in the same pot as a Venus fly trap, so it's best to have them in separate pots.
Venus fly traps need very nutrient poor potting medium because they derive most of their nutrients from the bugs they catch and excessive nutrients can harm them. You can use sphagnum moss or peat moss mixed with sand. Here's more:

Cacti need a well drained potting mix, potentially containing the same ingredients as the above. Or purchase one that says "cacti" or "cacti and succulents" on the label. Here's how to make your own:

Why is my Rhipsalis baccifera or mistletoe cactus dropping its parts onto the floor?
I have listed a link to review the care requirements.

My cactus is looking so sick and I don't know what it is. Please help! Thanks!
It looks like parts of the stem may have rot issues. In this case the discolored parts on the stem would feel softer than the rest of the stem. This is often caused by overwatering, but can be caused by fungal or bacterial diseases as well. The rot doesn't look like it has reached the roots, so the plant can probably be saved. Follow the instructions in this article:

I have a three metre tall Cactus, which I now have to reduce somehow! It consists of two three metre cactus and two 1/2 metre cactus and I really would like to know if I can cut the two three metre sections to a much more manageable height? Not sure if this is possible. Please help.
This depends greatly on the type of Cactus that your are growing.
