Q.Cactus identification help needed

Zone London | mattyashy added on August 17, 2016 | Answered

I was wondering if you could help me identify this cactus. It was my late grandfather’s and I have been looking after it for over a decade now. It was large, had many bulbs and produced a reddish flower. It started to rot and I managed to rescue one shoot. That was probably about 4 years ago. Since then it has grown as in the attached picture, but has not produced a flower at all.

It would be great to ID the cactus so I can gather more information on its care, and what to do with the pups.

Kind regards
Matt

There are approximately 2000 types of Cactus.
I'm not able to make an identification, but these links may help you do some research and can narrow the field of types.
