I have a Basil plant that’s very tall. If he keeps growing higher he will outgrow his lamp. How can I get my basil plant to grow bushier, not taller?
I use Osmocote when planting Spring veggies and flowers. But I heard that Basil plants should not be fertalized at all
It isn't necessary, usually. Most soils will contain plenty of fertilizer, and will not require any extra. Fertilizing too much can make basil taste a little less than desirable, or even harm the plants.
I would only feed if a soil test shows the soil to be deficient.

This is a new plant I just bought and transplanted.
It sounds like a soil infection. This can be from soils that remain too moist for too long without a dryout, or from already infected soil.
If this is in container, I would not use the soil anymore. If this is outside, you will need to treat the area for severe infection.

this is a plant in a container alone. It gets partial sun twice a day. I am unsure if i should replant it or buy a new plant and start over. I am a very beginner gardener. Can you tell me what is eating my plant? thank you for your time. Minnetta I am so impressed with this website. I have learned so much already, great job!!!
If it is on just a few leaves, pick them off and spray the plant with an insecticidal soap. It could be damage from a small bug.

I have basil grown from seed. Plants are not very robust and I'd like to know how to harvest basil and keep plant growing
Personally, I like to Cut the top 1/3 of the plant, and use that to dry or use, immediately. Let some lateral growth recover on the plant, then pluck the remaining larger leaves and use those. Repeat the process until it flowers, or becomes to strong to use for culinary purposes.

Actually, I reported my tulsi plant from old pot because of drainage problem in monsoon. I didn\'t got a normal soil with only cocopeat mixed or sand. I got a soil mixed with soil, cocopeat and compost with manure. Then it was fine after repotting but after 5 days it\'s leaves started falling I thought it might be transplant shock but then after now 10 days it\'s 70% leaves are fallen and slowly al are falling. I was doing frequent watering. Waiting for the soil to dry. Now I think it is dying because of overfertilize what do I do please tell me
Unfortunately, your photos did not come through. I am unable to see the issues at hand.

I have tried spray that is non-harmful to anything but still did nothing to the aphids.
You can try washing them off with water or even a wet paper towel. Did you try Neem oil? Commercial insecticidal soap may help, too.
