Q.Should You Fertilize Basil Plants

I use Osmocote when planting Spring veggies and flowers. But I heard that Basil plants should not be fertalized at all

It isn't necessary, usually. Most soils will contain plenty of fertilizer, and will not require any extra. Fertilizing too much can make basil taste a little less than desirable, or even harm the plants.

I would only feed if a soil test shows the soil to be deficient.
