If so, what can I do to encourage it to grow? I planted the bulb over the summer. The stem stub was green at one point, but never grew and eventually dried out. I may have planted the bulb incorrectly with more dirt over the bulb than recommended.
It should regrow more stems. They go through blooming cycles. You do need to remove some of the potting soil so about 1/3 of the bulb shows at the top.
Follow the instructions below to get it to bloom again (if it has bloomed). It gives a time schedule for watering, fertilizing and allowing foliage to die back.
You can also just plant them in the garden in the spring after threat of frost has passed. They then will bloom yearly in the spring or early summer and multiply.

i did send message yesterday asking ref my bulbs and added photos please can you advise on whether to cut the stems back as they are far too long I think ? regards thank you
Are these newly planted bulbs or last year's bulbs you are reblooming? If they are new bulbs you wouldn't want to cut back the leaves till after blooming. You can try more light or staking them.
If these are bulbs that have bloomed before you are supposed to bring them inside and withold water till the leaves yellow and wither. Then cut off the leaves and store the bulb in a cool, dark place till new leaves start to form, about 4 to 12 weeks.

I planted The amaryllis bulb about 2 weeks ago I’ve been watering it and it gets sunlight . After last Christmas’s bloom I cut the stem off and left the leafs on and in May I put it out to get some sunlight and warm air and in mid August I took it in and put it in a paper bag for 2 months because it needs rest, and now The cycle started over again. What’s wrong with my amaryllis?
It may have lacked fertilizer. This article tells the garden cycle.

They have several large green leaves, Only they have not flowered at all. What am I doing wrong. It's almost two months and they should have budded by now. Thank you.
If I understand correctly, these were bulbs that bloomed last year and you summered them outside, brought them inside in November and planted in container with the bulb 1/3 above the soil line. The reason it isn't going to bloom is because it missed its dormant period. Here are instructions. Go ahead and follow these instructions, they should bloom after they get a rest. If perchance these were new bulbs, they should have already had their rest period and be ready to bloom. The fault would be with the vendor.

Hello, on January 24th 2021 a couple of the leaves on my amaryllis plant were yellow so I cut them back but I accidentally nipped the healthy ones so I had to cut all of the leafs off. Will new leaves grow or is my amaryllis going to die? I still have my amaryllis inside my house right now.
It is always best to avoid cutting any living growth, at all, from an Amaryllis. This takes precious energy that is needed to survive. This is, likely, to stunt the plant.
Unfortunately, the plant will not recover unless the conditions that caused the yellowing are corrected. This could be anything from improper nutrient ratios, to drastic changes in environment.
