My plant is healthy and leaves are green but it has never bloomed!!! I have it in my kitchen window which faces southwest, don't know what to do for it to bloom. Use fertilizer for African Violets.
You may be overfertilizing. Too much nitrogen will inhibit flowering.

I see there are special African Violets pots that you water at the bottom. Do they take care of the watering problems?
African Violets need all their needs met to bloom. The number one reason for not blooming is inadequate light. East exposure best with north exposure next best and light must be indirect. Plant wants to be slightly root bound, fertilize and water from the bottom.
I have had one plant for a very long time. It has just started producing flowers in the past 5 years. I just noticed a strange thing on one of the flowers. It is like a bulb or something. It is sitting right on top of the center of the flower cluster. It almost reminds me of the same type of thing that grows on a fuscia plant. Those look almost like a bud, but turns into a dark purple hard thing. This thing on the violet flower is still green and firm. Any idea of what it may be?
Your plant has produced a seed pod.

What is the amount of neem oil to use in a gallon of water or half gallon of water to spray on African violets showing signs of powdery mildew?
I would not use the Neem Oil on the African violets for PM. Instead I would use a product called Green Cure. It is an earth friendly product that really gets after PM when applied at the cure rate listed on the label. It can be purchased on-line at places such as Planet Natural or Amazon.com.
If I repot an African Violet in enriched potting soil, do I also need to give it food for African Violets or just plain water?
Check the label of the potting mix that you used.
African Violets do well with a light feeding at every watering. Over fertilizing can lead to lack of flowering.

the bottom stem of my african violet often seems to fill itself with too much water....they get 'squishy' looking and then seem to rot and that stem will die. These were my mother's 'pets' and I'm trying real hard to keep them going. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
This is actually normal and is no reason to worry. The older stems at the bottom of the plant will die and fall off, leaving room for new ones to grow in their place.
Make sure you are not watering the leaves of your plant directly, they don't like that. Water only the soil.
African Violets need plenty of light but they do not like direct sunlight.

To me it looks like one of two things. It could either be a watering issue, or too much light.
These prefer filtered light, and not too much of it. Also it is best to water them, only, from the bottom tray.
